Each year, Arrow community leaders select a Word of the Year to guide their focus and intentions both personally and professionally. As the Executive Director at The PrairieStone Senior Living, the start of a new year feels like a chance to reset, refocus, and prepare for what lies ahead.
For 2025, I could not choose just one word. Instead, I selected adaptable and tenacious to reflect the balance needed as PrairieStone continues to grow and evolve. These words align perfectly with the season I am in, serving as anchors for how I lead my team, support families, and care for residents.
Adaptability encourages us to accept and pivot as challenges arise. It reminds me to stay flexible and open to change. On the other hand, tenacity represents the determination required to overcome obstacles and persist in the pursuit of excellence. Together, these words create a powerful balance between embracing change and maintaining a steadfast commitment to our goals.
As PrairieStone faces new opportunities and challenges, adaptability and tenacity will shape my leadership. They will guide my relationships, inspire collaboration, and strengthen our community. These words are more than intentions; they are tools to help navigate the unexpected and persist through difficulties.
Choosing a Word of the Year is not about having all the answers. It is about setting a meaningful intention and staying open to the journey it inspires. As I look forward to 2025, I am eager to see how adaptability and tenacity will shape both my professional and personal growth.
